About Wild Peaks Collective

Chicken Farm

Vision

To nurture independent, curious, resilient, and holistic learners who are deeply connected to nature and equipped with practical life skills.

Mission

To provide a child-led, curiosity-driven learning environment that emphasizes hands-on activities, entrepreneurship, holistic well-being, and experiential learning across all subjects, inspired by Montessori principles. We believe in creating resilience in children by allowing them to solve their own problems and learn from their experiences.

Our Space

At Wild Peaks Collective, we offer a Montessori-inspired learning environment where children are invited to explore and learn based on their interests. Inside, they can dive into our cozy library nook, engage in creative projects, and develop essential life skills in our practical life area. Our gathering area fosters group learning and is filled with music, discussions, and collaborative activities. Outdoors, children experience hands-on discovery, from tending to the garden, to fostering a deep connection through our nature and community outings.

Meet Andrea, a dedicated mother of two and the visionary behind Wild Peaks Collective. Andrea has been passionate about education for years, but that passion grew even stronger when she began homeschooling her own children. Frustrated by the limitations of the traditional education system, she crafted a program for her children that provided the kind of personalized, holistic learning experience she couldn’t find anywhere else.

With a background in special education—ranging from ABA and play-based therapies to running homeschool programs for children with autism—Andrea’s experience deepened her commitment to creating a limitless education that nurtures every child's unique potential. After years of dreaming and manifesting, Wild Peaks Collective became a reality, reflecting her desire to offer families a nature-connected, curiosity-driven, and inclusive education.

Andrea is passionate about reshaping education as we know it and is excited to welcome more children to join her in this transformative journey.

Hailing from Boulder, Colorado, Meranda grew up with a sense of wonder, love of nature and deep connection to the arts throughout her life. She began her early childhood education career when she was a child herself, and has spent most of her life working with youth to inspire a freedom of expression, and to nurture a sense of pure curiosity and wonder of the world around them.

Meranda graduated with her BFA in Theater from Cornish College of the Arts in 2017, and has a background working as a film and theater actress. Throughout the years, she has taught theater, music, and dance to all ages, specializing in the ages of 2 to 10 years old. Over the years, she has worked as a coach and teacher for Nightingale Music School, ActLiveNow, Point Loma Playhouse, Camp Expresate, Creative Cornucopia, Compassionate Disaster Films, and the YMCA.

Her approach to teaching is to encourage the growth of wonder, and lean into the curiosities of every child. Her hope is to nurture their inner artist, advocate, scientist, mathematician, explorer, humanitarian, friend and every possible passion, and to inspire them to never stop asking questions. She believes in a holistic and child led learning path following their natural interests and abilities, and energetic flows throughout the day. She encourages vulnerability and emotional intelligence by moving through all feelings within a supported and caring environment- whether that be through talking, song, physical movement, or the magical use of essential oils.

Meranda also believes that nature is our greatest teacher and most influential playground. Imagination, creativity, and pure childhood joy run the most wild and free when they are in their natural element!

She is beyond thrilled to be teaching for a second year with Wild Peaks Collective, and honored to be a part of every child’s wild and free adventure.
